Biomimetics and bionics in the architecture of the wooden house ProTerra
ProTerra House is an example of a successful biomimetic wooden house project that combines different aspects of green architecture: biomimetics, bionics, bio-tech, architectural geonics
Biomimetics is the science that studies nature and its solutions to create new technologies, products, and processes. Biomimetics helps humans learn from nature how to live in harmony with the environment, conserve resources, and increase efficiency. Biomimetics is used in various fields, including wooden house construction.
The house with the third light "ProTerra" of 214 m² is an example of a biomimetic project of a wooden house from the company Archiline. The house is built of rounded pine logs of natural moisture with a diameter of 260 mm, which repeats the cylindrical shape of the pines around the house. The house was built in the shape of a rhombus in the forest in order and in such a way that only one tree was cut down during the construction. The house has three floors, two bedrooms, a large living room, a kitchen, a dining room, a sauna, a dressing room, a
The foundation of the house merges with the forest floor, the dark color of the log is similar to the trunk of the pines below, and the light logs are so colored the pines closer to the top of the tree, the evergreen metal roof of the house repeats the evergreen color of the pine crowns, and the chaos and random coloring of the logs in the walls of the house resembles the chaotic growth of trees in the forest and pine branches and all this is very in harmony with each other,A non-standard shape of the roof, which resembles the dome of an anthill and creates additional space for a third light inside the house. The roof has a sharp pitched part that reduces the load on the walls from snow, and provides drainage that blows away needles falling from the pines, large three-chamber windows in which the sky is visible and reflected among the crowns of the pines and provide natural light, nature views and thermal insulation. The windows create the effect of spaciousness and freedom inside the house.
Satellite view of the house, it is not visible because of the green roof:
Inside the house, paper lamps that repeat fireflies, real pines in the interior, echo the pines outside the window, the color of the interior balconies resembles the bark of the pines outside the window, the red sofa is like strawberries in the forest, the tiles are the color of water in a forest stream, the stairs to the balcony repeat the exterior coloring of the house, the interior walls have remained in the natural color most favorable to the eye, the interior space repeats an anthill, a lot of space, stairs, passages, you can walk 10 thousand steps in a day
ProTerra Active Wooden Anthill House:
The ProTerra home also has a number of biomimetic features inside the house that make it unusual and spectacular:
• An original "third light" solution inside the house, which resembles a space up to the crowns of pine trees and increases the internal volume of the house. The third light occupies almost 50% of the floor area and has a height of 9 meters. Inside the house there are two points from which the space of 17 meters is viewed, and this is almost 10 heights of a person. From the third floor, thanks to this, there is a magnificent view of the living room and the hall.
The ProTerra home is an example of how you can create a stylish and cozy log home that combines biomimetic solutions and modern design.
A ProTerra home is a home that lives in harmony with nature and reflects the personality of its owner
On the second floor: a staircase leading to the inner gallery overlooking the "second light", which offers a magnificent view of the hall and the living room. There is also a bedroom, a bathroom, a sauna, a shower and a dressing room from where a staircase leads to the 3rd floor
The original painting on the exterior of the house is reminiscent of the styric code or the coloring of some beetles and creates a fusion with the environment, which is in harmony with both white snow and green forest.
Inside the house, lamps made of rice paper, replicate fireflies. Real pine trees in the interior, echo the pines outside the window, the color of the interior balconies resembles the bark of the pines outside the window, the red sofa is like strawberries in the forest. The tiles on the floor are the color of water in a forest stream, the staircase to the balcony repeats the exterior of the house, the interior walls have remained in a natural color that is most favorable to the eye:
Stove - Green Architecture and Green Building: Striking examples of green solutions applied in the ProTerra home, such as the use of environmentally friendly materials, the introduction of renewable energy sources - the house has not only a gas boiler, but also duplicates the heating system with a wood-fired fireplace jacket:
Gallery on the 3rd floor:
A wooden house is not only a traditional and eco-friendly housing option, but also an opportunity to implement the most daring and original architectural solutions. One such solution is the biomimetic design of a wooden house, which is inspired by the shapes, structures, and functions of living organisms. The biomimetic design of a wooden house allows you to create a unique, comfortable, and sustainable home that adapts to the climate, landscape, and the needs of the occupants.
In modern times, green architecture and biomimetics provide clear benefits for humans and the environment, and ProTerra House as an example of a biomimetic wooden house project that combines different aspects of green architecture.
• Architectural bionics and bio-tech buildings are gaining popularity in the world. Examples of bionic solutions that are used in the ProTerra house, such as large windows, second light, original painting and non-standard roof shape, improve the comfort of human life
• Architectural geonics, directly related to architectural bionics, the methods and principles it uses and geo-tech structures, all these examples of geoonic solutions applied in the ProTerra house are the use of rounded logs, taking into account climatic and landscape conditions, and energy efficiency.
• Nature-integrated and nature-equivalent architecture, nature-tech structures and other examples of nature-based solutions applied in the ProTerra home, harmonious unity with wildlife, reproduction of natural shapes and colors, maintenance of biodiversity.
